The Manager, Development Operations, is responsible for the oversight of systems, data, information, and tools that drive the day-to-day work of the Joslin Development Team.
In addition, this individual oversees the Development Operations Coordinator that supports the work of all program areas within the department.
In the current environment, this role will allow for remote/virtual interviewing as well as having the ability to begin remotely.
Oversee the administration and configuration of all Development information systems, including: The Raiser’s Edge (RE) / NXT, Luminate, and various Omatic Software tools. Responsible for managing the health, exchange and integration of data across Development platforms, ensuring integrity throughout.
Strategically establish and manage mechanisms to assess performance metrics, measure actions and behaviors that enhance team productivity and lead to success, and provide training to colleagues to help them track performance data effectively.
Act as Development’s fundraising databases’ internal resource to all members of the department. Identify problems or challenges within the databases and make recommendations to correct or enhance the way data is managed or to improve overall productivity and efficiency of the end users.
In partnership with the Director, Prospect Management and Research, facilitate coding tables and database workflows to facilitate suspect pools, prospect pipelines and proposal management.
Develop and maintain policies, guidelines and standards relating to Development data, and effectively communicates and monitors adherence to these practices.
Responsible for developing and managing various reporting platforms, including the production of high-level and detailed analytical reports that informs the program of Development efforts. Organize, document and streamline the various reporting methods.
Manage related Development operations workflows and relational database procedures, including the provision of training for all Development staff in current applications.
Provide guidance, direction, supervision and evaluation to the Development Operations Coordinator, ensuring the highest levels of productivity and quality.
Oversee the Development Operations Coordinators work to manage and effectively assess the Medalist Fulfillment Program.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of data management experience and/or a combination of work experience and volunteer experience in fundraising preferred
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Advanced knowledge of data and database management
Demonstrated project management and problem solving skills, including organizational skills to meet goals and objectives through effective program and project planning
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience working in a fast?paced, results?oriented environment and demonstrated flexibility in meeting shifting demands and priorities
High degree of professionalism, ethical sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion; proven ability to apply good judgment and responsible decision-making
Meticulous attention to detail
