Development - General, Donor Relations/Stewardship, Environmental/Conservation
We are hiring a Senior Digital Fundraiser to take on a key role in our community giving and digital teams, and help us hold some of the world’s biggest corporate and government polluters to account. Over the past two years, Stand.earth’s online community has grown from 100,000 to 380,000 people strong, and our donor base has grown to more than 8,000 donors. Now we’re looking for someone to take on a newly-created role and bring this fundraising work to the next level. If you can whip up a compelling email appeal with your eyes closed, care deeply about building power online to win campaigns, love optimizing donation pages, and want the option to work from the comfort of your own home, then read on! This might be the perfect role for you. We encourage applicants to apply by September 2, 2020. This position is open until filled.
We are seeking a Senior Digital Fundraiser who is fueled by a passion to build power and win campaigns through small dollar donations, and who’s excited about creating strategic online content & tactics to engage and grow our online community. Reporting to the Digital and Campaign Strategies Director, the Senior Digital Fundraiser will work across highly collaborative teams that include campaigners, organizers, development specialists and other digital staff in Canada and the US.
They will play a leading role in our community giving team and their primary responsibility will be coordinating and growing our online fundraising program. They’ll also play a key role as a digital campaigner on one of our corporate campaigns – for example, helping to transform the shipping industry’s climate impact by accelerating a transition away from toxic fuels.
This is a full-time exempt position with excellent benefits. Salary will be commensurate with experience and location, and will likely be within the range of $55,000-75,000 USD or $58,500-87,750 CAD.
This role will be based in the US or Canada, in Pacific or Mountain time zone (working hours are 9am-5pm Pacific time). At least to start with, the role will be remote from the comfort of the candidate's own home. Once the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic has passed, we hope there will also be the option to work out of one of our hub offices.

Stand was created to challenge corporations and governments to treat people and the environment with respect, because our lives depend on it. Born as Forest Ethics, we were founded nearly twenty years ago by a group of dedicated people who were working day in and day out to solve a big problem: What do you do when the health and foundation of communities and their environment are being undermined? Over the years, our work and our approach has evolved from a dedicated focus on forest protection to taking on some of the root causes of climate change and environmental injustice.
As we’ve done since the start, we pursue audacious solutions, campaign for as long as it takes to see them through, punch way above our weight, and treat everyone, including our adversaries, with respect. From keeping communities safe from dozens of proposed oil by rail terminals to protecting more than 65 million acres of forest from logging, our work has resulted in sweeping industry-wide changes and environmental protection on a massive scale.
