Sr Assoc Dir Campaign & Strategic Initiatives - 17197
The Senior Associate Director, Campaign & Strategic Initiatives is responsible for supporting all aspects of CHOP’s current and future campaigns including mini-campaigns, key fundraising initiatives and comprehensive campaigns. He/she will create, manage and train staff on a donor experience model focused on driving cultivation and qualification, track and monitor funding priorities for use by front-line fundraisers and support implementation of data-driven recommendations for strategies on top prospects. In addition, this role will produce and disseminate campaign updates to key stakeholder groups and coordinate with Foundation staff on key events. This position reports to the Executive Director of Campaign & Strategic Initiatives and serves as an integral part of the CHOP Foundation team.
Oversee the development and implementation of a donor experience model, focused on qualification and cultivation
Collaborate with Individual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Institutional and Events Fundraising and other frontline fundraisers to curate and implement a series of experiences to help move donors and prospects along the donor continuum, including but not limited to A Breakthrough Experience, high-level donor tours and future experiences
Manage engagement opportunities and key milestone celebrations for “mini-campaign” for King of Prussia, and future campaigns or fundraising efforts with operational support from Executive Events
Create and maintain toolkit of experiences and train frontline fundraisers on how to implement these experiences, including tours of research spaces, Hospital in King of Prussia, newly renovated spaces and others
Gain intimate knowledge of lead campaign prospects and top prospects, including prospects for new Hospital. In partnership with ED, Campaign & Strategic Initiatives, Prospect Development and frontline fundraisers, make recommendations on who should attend key experiences and engagement opportunities
In partnership with Board Relations Team, support the development of engagement plans for volunteer leaders to strengthen their commitment to CHOP
Create and leverage processes and systems to create out-of-the box tools for campaigns
Curate and maintain funding priorities through focused collaboration with Foundation leadership and frontline fundraisers with in DonorForce
Support implementation of data-driven recommendations by outside consultants for strategies on top prospects, utilizing Qlikview dashboards, reports and consultant reports
Partner with Donor Relations team on supporting recognition opportunities for campaign gifts, especially those at $100K or more
Lead on training and adoption of Ovrture and other campaign tools

Manage all internal-facing aspects of CHOP’s current and future campaigns
Produce communication to Foundation staff and CHOP stakeholders, including senior administration, division leadership, campaign co-chairs, Foundation Board of Overseers and other key volunteer leaders related to campaign efforts, including Lunch and Learn programs, internal newsletter, and others. This includes internal celebrations, kick-off events, surveys, etc.
Collaborate with Annual Giving team to manage the employee campaign cabinet throughout current and future campaigns to meet goals for the internal campaign, including employee kickoff event and employee celebrations
Partner with Annual Giving to ensure internal-facing current and future campaign efforts align with overall campaign communications strategy and messaging, including: internal communications plan, employee solicitations, new employee orientation, and campaign updates that target institutional leaders
Provide campaign-related support for employee fundraising teams and/or group fundraising activities
Represent Campaign Team on Foundation-wide Initiatives
Support current and future consulting projects, including interview scheduling, completing key follow-up, and serve as a go to person for questions
Lead tours for new employees and train new staff on how to lead a tour
Project manage campaign material creation to ensure top-rated communications materials for current and future campaigns, and act as a resource for philanthropy messaging in coordination with Director of Donor Relations
Lead and/or support other key projects or initiatives, as needed
Provide support for all campaign-related Foundation events
Partner with Donor Relations, Executive Events, and Signature Events teams to manage campaign messaging and role at all major donor and stewardship events related to the campaign.
With Foundation team members, strategize and conceptualize campaign events and activities, including milestone celebrations, campaign kick-offs, and others
Supervise Campaign Interns
Required Education and Experience
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in Development
Additional Technical Requirements
Particular emphasis on capital/comprehensive campaigns, and frontline fundraising experience a plus
Familiarity with SalesForce preferred
Experience analyzing data and translating to recommendations preferred
Microsoft Office skills required, including Excel or Access spreadsheet creation and management and PowerPoint
Demonstrated writing skills
