The Western Governors’ Foundation (WGF) is a 501(c)(3) organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of the Western Governors’ Association (WGA). WGF is seeking a conscientious professional to manage its day-to-day operations. The WGF Manager reports to the President of WGF.
The Manager’s principal responsibility is to realize the long-term objectives of the Foundation as established by its Board of Directors. Among other things, the Manager is responsible for: design and execution of Foundation projects; design and execution of fundraising strategies, events and campaigns; management of donor and partner relations; grant writing and execution; budget-making and execution; board meeting preparation; production of reports, articles, online content and other written materials; service as the Foundation’s spokesperson; review and approval of contracts and agreements; legal compliance; financial management; and the execution of other duties as assigned.
A bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have: at least five years’ experience in non-profit management; exceptional communications skills; demonstrable success in charitable fundraising; and a positive, collaborative, enthusiastic attitude. Familiarity with the work of Western Governors is preferred.
