As the Senior Philanthropy Officer you will work in collaboration with Bloodworks leadership enterprise-wide to achieve revenue goals as outlined in the Strategic Plan as approved by the Board of Trustees. Key focal point of this role include:
Serve as a key external representative representing the highest level of professional practice in philanthropy for Bloodworks in the community, especially among philanthropic donors and their advisors.
Work in collaboration with Advancement team to plan, implement, and administer programs to generate revenue from individual contributors, foundations, organizations, special events and other projects consistent with the mission and values of Bloodworks and in alignment with Bloodworks business and strategic goals.
Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum five years’ experience in Development with an emphasis on cultivating and soliciting major gifts/ prospects capable of five-figure gifts and larger.
Local philanthropic experience preferred.
CFRE or CAP certifications preferred.
Medical or scientific knowledge preferred.
Capable at performing donor research tasks.
Demonstrated effective written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills, professional presence, and ability to interact with trustees and contributors.
