Annual Giving, Development - General, Donor Relations/Stewardship
Classification: Non-Exempt, Part-Time; Flexible hours (between 8am-5pm) with option for Full-Time
Reports to: Annual Fund Director
Work with donor accounts team processing approximately 3,000 gifts per month
Utilize Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database for adding, updating and maintaining all donor records
Open and sort mailed-in donations for batch processing
Count cash received from weekly church donations, events, and various fundraisers
Enter gifts in batch
Deposit checks using remote deposit capture equipment
Make weekly physical bank deposits at local branch bank
Maintain accurate records and reconciliation of shared bank book with Accounting personnel
Interface with regional offices that handle donation deposits remotely
Interface with Accounting to reconcile gifts posted from Raiser’s Edge to Financial Edge
Set up new records for constituents, event registrations, recurring gifts
Print tribute cards for memorial gifts
Update records/preferences on database with address information, mailing preference, email, etc.
File copies of deposits and back-up; Purge old records
Communicate with donors to answer questions via phone and email
Assist with registration and silent auction during fundraising events held throughout the year
Additional Responsibilities learned through on-the-job training:
Learn processing of all online donations through Online Express and Luminate
Record gifts received from third parties (United Way, Benevity, etc.)
Run weekly and monthly database queries to confirm accuracy of gifts entered prior to posting
Process non-monetary gifts such as gifts-in-kind, pledges, stock gifts, vehicle donations
Donor prospect research utilizing traditional online tools, and prospect software
Qualifications of Preferred Candidate:
1-3 years Rasier’s Edge (or database) experience
Computer skills in Microsoft Office products, spreadsheet applications (Excel), Online Express and
Luminate gift processing software
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Highest level of integrity for safeguarding privacy of donor information
Extremely detail and task oriented for properly recording and maintaining donor records
Highly motivated for meeting deadlines and working with a team of other professionals for achieving departmental budgets and goals.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this organization’s vehicle insurance carrier.
