The Vice President for University Advancement will report to the President of the University and oversee a team of 66 employees in the offices of University Development, Advancement Operations, Advancement Communications Strategy, Alumni Engagement, Law Advancement and Special Events. University Advancement has received recognition with five CASE Circle of Excellence Award for Overall Performance. The University is in the early planning stages of a campaign to support the recently approved Strategic Plan.
The Vice President for University Advancement will be an accomplished and proven strategic leader who values traditions, collaboration, innovation and creativity, and is well-versed in current relationship-driven fundraising and alumni engagement strategies and tactics. Successful candidates will bring significant experience in a senior leadership role in a comparably-complex program and possess an authentic commitment to liberal arts education and the capacity to articulate passionately its value and relevance. The Vice President will inspire and provide the leadership for the University’s philanthropy and engagement programs and will build strong, sincere, and lasting relationships with key university leaders as well as the University’s many loyal external constituents.
