Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire seeks an accomplished fundraising professional to join its Family Giving team.
The Associate Director, Family Giving will be responsible for developing long-term philanthropic relationships with parents and family prospects and securing and stewarding restricted and unrestricted gifts in support of Dartmouth College's institutional priorities, and to work with the Director and other staff to increase Dartmouth's visibility among parents and family members. Frequent travel is required.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of four years of development experience. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience soliciting and closing five-figure to seven-figure gifts. Strong candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a capacity to manage a wide range of relationships and situations, strong organizational skills combined with individual initiative, ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams, strong marketing, analytical, negotiation and planning skills. Experience working in a complex college, university or educational development operation preferred.
