Dartmouth seeks an accomplished fundraising professional to join its Gift Planning team in Hanover, New Hampshire. The Associate Director raises restricted and unrestricted gifts for Dartmouth College, including its professionals schools, in support of the Board of Trustees' priorities for the institution and also serves as a charitable gift planning advisor to the Dartmouth Community, including donors, prospective donors, and the Development staff. He/she will build upon the program's solid foundation and will work cooperatively with alumni, trustees, and other members of the Dartmouth family to increase the volume of outright gifts, bequests, life income gifts, and other forms of estate planned giving. Travel is required.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree with five or more years of experience in planned giving, law, development, financial services, or the equivalent (may include both professional experience and relevant advanced education). Strong project management and organizational skills, demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidate must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a capacity to manage a wide range of relationships and situations.
