Miami Cancer Institute brings together world-class cancer experts and an unmatched dedication to multidisciplinary patient care, cutting-edge technology and innovative cancer treatments. The Institute is one of the few cancer treatment centers in the world to provide every available radiation therapy technology in one location. We are one of the only few facilities in South Florida and in the nation to offer proton therapy.
Philanthropy has a particularly important role in supporting research and clinical care at Miami Cancer Institute. Gifts that support the Miami Cancer Institute provide an opportunity to fund vital research and support the primary destination for cancer patients in the southeastern United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. Philanthropy is so integral to Miami Cancer Institute, it’s included among our “10 Pillars of Care.” At the Institute, philanthropy will help enable groundbreaking research to give cancer patients a lifesaving edge. Donor dollars also will help fund therapeutic programs and services that alleviate the burden cancer places on patients and families. Innovative research trials and beneficial support programs often are not funded by government or reimbursed by insurance, so the generosity of donors will continually play a major role in improving the lives of cancer patients and their families.
Miami Cancer Institute is a part of Baptist Health South Florida, the region’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organization with more than 23,000 employees working across 11 hospital campuses, and more than 100 outpatient facilities throughout Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
