National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), a 100-year old nonprofit advocacy organization, is seeking a Donor Communications Manager. This person will produce messaging and materials for the Development department with a specific focus on deliverables for the major donor audience (donors and prospects with capacity of $10K+ annually). This position is responsible for developing donor proposals and stewardship pieces that convey funding opportunities and the impact a major gift will or has had.
Salary: Salary is based on location and experience. Low to mid $60k’s (Washington, DC)

-4-5 years writing experience. Previous experience writing specifically for fundraising/development preferred.
-Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related discipline desired.
-Excellent writing and communication skills including familiarity with preparing funding proposals.
-Proven ability to work with a wide range and diversity of constituents/clients.
-Demonstrated creativity and vision.
-Ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, work well under time constraints, meet deadlines and organize tasks.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Adobe creative cloud suite or equivalent design software.
-Passion toward national parks and environmental conservation.
-Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds and orientations.
-Contribute to the creation of a diverse, equitable and inclusive work culture that encourages and celebrates differences.
