Known for its rigorous scholarship and vibrant campus community, The College of Saint Rose is a private, independent, coeducational College located in a dynamic urban setting. Saint Rose strives to enrich its larger community and inspire its graduates to be productive adults, critical thinkers, and motivated, caring citizens. It has remained true to its mission of not only preparing students for their careers but also preparing them for life.
Under the leadership of a President committed to fundraising and building a future-oriented institution, the Saint Rose Institutional Advancement team is poised for considerable growth in philanthropy. Plans to build momentum by launching a historic comprehensive capital campaign in celebration of the College’s 100th anniversary in 2020, a recent $1.2 million gift to the College, and the planning for a major $50 million comprehensive capital campaign, make this an exciting time for philanthropy at The College of Saint Rose.
Reporting directly to President Carolyn J. Stefanco, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement (VPIA) will partner with the President, trustees, senior staff, alumni, and other external constituencies to achieve ambitious growth in philanthropy. As the top fundraiser and philanthropic officer, the VPIA will oversee the day-to-day operations of the advancement effort including managing a high-performing and dedicated team of approximately 20 staff members. S/He will implement both an annual and long-term fundraising plan, including The College of Saint Rose’s comprehensive capital campaign and its upcoming Centennial. With more than 43,000 living alumni around the world, alumni relations will also be a high priority. The ideal candidate will bring considerable experience in higher education as a successful, frontline fundraiser as well as success in mentoring staff and volunteer management.
