The ideal candidate will be a relationship-builder who is responsible for the overall management of donor relations, soliciting foundation and corporate grants, as well as local government contracts and managing fundraising initiatives with a goal of building the organization’s profile in the local community & increasing financial sustainability.
Develop & execute strategies for financial growth
Cultivate & maintain communication with current & prospective donors
Identify, develop, & track grant proposals & complete reports for foundation & corporate funders
Take ownership for NAMIWalks Mercer County, working collaboratively with staff and committees on all fundraising initiatives & events
Develop marketing collateral related to fundraising, including utilization of social media
Manage the donor data base, especially as it relates to donor entries & gift-processing, as well as event management
Develop & execute annual Development Plan
Provide staff leadership for Development Committee & sub-committees’ meetings
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field (Master's preferred)
Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills with a passion for mission (promoting mental health and reducing the stigma around mental illness)
Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Flexible & creative
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Familiarity with CRM nonprofit software (Donor Perfect preferred)
