Serves the Asbury Methodist Village campus in Gaithersburg, MD by developing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy that includes major and planned gifts in partnership with the local development team and adheres to the overall Asbury Foundation development plan and yearly goals.
Serves as a leader alongside the local leadership team(s) and local board/committee leadership on all major fundraising initiatives to assist the Asbury Foundation President, CEO and VP sustain current capacity and continue to grow the scale of the organization.
Provides coaching, guidance, and feedback to the local development team to ensure goals align with the Asbury Foundation’s long range plans.
Collaborates with Directors, Development Team members, and Communications Associates to cultivate, develop, and mobilize the Asbury Foundation’s network of volunteers, donors, board members, and other stakeholders.
Utilizes and coordinates, with appropriate team members, several outreach activities to identify and engage prospective donors and funding sources including personal contact, electronic and social media, direct mail and special events.
Develops relationships with local estate and financial planning professionals to enhance giving to Asbury.
Supports the Director of Development Operations in the annual budget process.
Assists President and Vice President with fundraising initiatives for additional Asbury Affiliates as requested.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
5-7 years of proven experience in fundraising and/or related field.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience. 5+ years preferred.
Capital and Endowment Campaign or related experience preferred.
