Annual Giving, Development - General, Donor Relations/Stewardship
Manage development office fund drives and campaigns
Institute and monitor fundraising metrics and goals to manage and evaluate progress of major gifts team
Design and management of fundraising strategies with a focus on raising funds to support facility and programmatic campaigns and Millikin Fund priorities as well as having an understanding of planned giving instruments
Manage a prospect pool of 75-100 individuals capable of making a commitment of $10,000 or more to Millikin University, moving them from discovery, cultivation, solicitation, follow up and stewardship
Manage a list of 25-50 donor prospects capable of making a commitment of $1,000 or more to Millikin University, and specifically the Annual Fund
Travel regionally and nationally to solicit, steward and engage major donors and prospects
Manage budget for development team
Minimum Position Qualifications (Title, position and salary range will differ, based on experience)
Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role in fundraising, development, marketing/sales or related fields.
Proven experience in management of personnel
Proven knowledge of data-driven decision making and assessment.
Strong knowledge of major gifts fundraising, including planned and estate giving.
Outstanding interpersonal skills – be a “people” person – enjoy working and communicating with others
Excellent organizational skills, personal initiative and follow through.
Strong goal and results-oriented focus partnered with an equally strong commitment to prospect/donor relations.
Knowledge of higher education, Millikin University and Decatur area preferred.
Be a competent write of business communication
Have a valid driver’s license.
