Texas Lutheran University is seeking applicants for a Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. This full-time position reports to the Associate Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations; and is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding corporations, corporate foundations, and private foundations. This position is actively engaged in working to establish long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with the corporate and foundation sector, as well as other key communities that will result in funding for the immediate and long-term goals of the university.

Position requirements include:
A Bachelor’s degree is required
At least five years progressive and proven fundraising experience or equivalent
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to listen well
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to plan and schedule own work
Ability to facilitate meetings and groups
Public speaking ability
High degree of judgment is required to deal with complex factors, which are not easily evaluated, and make decisions based on conclusions for which there is little precedent
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
Membership in ALDE, AFP, or CASE is required
There will be several weekend and evening activities to attend
Understanding of and appreciation for a church-related university
