Reporting to the President and CEO, the Campaign Director will be responsible for the successful execution of the annual community-wide campaign. This is an exciting time to lead the annual campaign for the Fund for the Arts. S/He will be a member of the leadership team, working closely with the President & CEO, Senior Vice President, senior leadership and the Board of Directors to meet the goals of the annual campaign.
The Campaign Director will be the organization’s lead for the annual campaign strategy and execution, partnering with the President & CEO, Senior Vice President and Board to develop and implement strategies to meet and/or exceed annual fundraising goals. The 2020 Campaign Goal is $8.3 million.
The Campaign Director will devise, implement, and manage a comprehensive annual campaign, including the creation of a development plan that maximizes contributed income from individuals, foundations, corporations, workplace campaigns, events and government sources.
The Campaign Director will oversee a team of seven professionals responsible for maintaining and growing the annual campaign, including three development managers, two members of campaign operations, one part-time grants officer and an events manager.
The Campaign Director will be the primary liaison to the annual Campaign Chair and Campaign Committee, and work closely with the board members to leverage their personal and professional networks in support of the campaign.
The Campaign Director will manage a personal portfolio of major corporate and foundation donors.
Ideal candidates will bring a broad background in development, including work in all core functional areas of fundraising, as well as broad-based knowledge of donor acquisition, research, engagement, stewardship, reporting, and overall management to ensure efficient and effective departmental administration and operations.
The Campaign Director will have the following experience and attributes:
7-plus years of demonstrated experience in fundraising or sales
