Under the direction of the Vice President of Stewardship, the Director, Planned Giving is responsible for the general oversight of the following: Planned Giving Program, Bequest Program, Charitable Annuity Program, Life Insurance, IRA Gifts, Gifts-in-Kind, Scholarship Gifts, Planned Giving Marketing, etc. To provide people with Charitable intent, the opportunity to utilize a wide range of estate planning services that will benefit the donors families, while simultaneously providing a legacy gift to the Moody Bible Institute. To ensure that friends and donors that contact the Moody Bible Institute are received and treated hospitably and appropriately in response.

Work in close consultation with the Legal and Investments groups
Provide Leadership to those who work in Planned Giving and Stewardship
Oversee support to donors on behalf of Moody Bible Institute Stewardship for questions or assistance
Coordinate the research and analysis of the Planned Giving program to asses the efficiencies and value. Research and identify effective opportunities to improve savings, greater exposure, and professional representation and marketing
Coordinate the marketing program to identify, develop, and cultivate the number of donors that desire to partner with Moody through various gifts
Manage and assist incoming donors, distributing requests to the appropriate MBI representative
Provide support, assistance, and guidance to the Regional Stewardship Representatives
Provide financial support services and reporting for Stewardship
Research and Identify new technologies to better equip Planned Giving
Assist guests to come to the office to discuss Charitable Giving and Estate Planning
Perform other duties as assigned
This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday.
Travel is expected for this position (25-40%)

3 Years of Leadership/Mangement Experience in Advancement/Development, or related field
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Personal belief in the mission, goals, and objectives for ministry at Moody
Ability to relate well with donors through a respectful, compassionate, and caring demeanor
Willingness to travel 25% - 40% of the time
Able to work in the US legally, without sponsorship
