The Major Gifts and Planned Giving Specialist works closely with development staff, directors, advisors and volunteers in implementing and managing a comprehensive and effective major and planned giving program ($10,000+). The primary responsibilities are in the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major and planned gift prospects and donors of Gundersen Medical Foundation (GMF) and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). The Major Gifts and Planned Giving Specialist assists the Manager in the successful planning, execution and measurement of the organization’s comprehensive planned giving program. Develops promotion and solicitation strategies based on organizational objectives, tax law changes and best practices. Facilitates the development of effective bequest campaigns and solicitations to achieve Foundation, System and regional objectives. The Major Gifts and Planned Giving Specialist maintains and promotes a personal, professional philosophy of community involvement by participating in professional and community activities.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field with specialized training in planned giving and major gifts
3-4 years of experience in planned giving, fund development and major gift fundraising
