Phoenix House Texas is looking for a talented Media & Community Development Specialist to research, create and maintain a strong social & print media presence for Phoenix House Texas. The right person will create & maintain a strong educational and passion focused social & print media presence in multiple markets while exploring the drivers for community interest in philanthropic giving.
As our Media & Community Development Specialist, you will possess an exceptional understanding of media technologies. Outstanding written and verbal skills with a keen eye for visual impact are a must. A creative mind and a desire to explore new & innovative solutions are a critical, required attribute. This person will work directly for the statewide Director of Development and be actively involved in the creation of our strategic development plan.

Design & implement social and print media strategies aligned with the organization’s business goals.
Research donor passions, interests & preferences, and discover current trends that work within the organization’s wheelhouse of services.
Brainstorm & develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
Assist in outbound & inbound media marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in content development, optimization of presence in multiple marketplaces, and event planning.
Provide engaging text, still imagery & video content for social & print media audiences.
Perform research on current benchmarks, trends, and audience interests about the organization’s goals.
Design & implement social & print media strategies to align with developmental objectives.
Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content in an ongoing & consistent basis that is both relevant and motivational to our audiences.
Collaborate with the organization’s entire team to ensure brand image, continuity, clear messaging, and time-sensitive information.
Oversee the design & maintenance of social media accounts.
Have in-depth knowledge of our various communities’ media sources.
Monitor report & respond to donor queries and monitor feedback from the communities-at-large.
Be a significant part of specific functions leading to the overall achievement & success of development goals.
Educational & Experience
A degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, or related subject matter.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in all aspects of media generation & maintenance and community activity development
Passion for working in a non-profit environment
