We are excited to announce the opportunity for a Director of Development for our Transforming Age Foundation serving our corporate office and multiple communities, including Skyline, Parkshore and Fred Lind Manor in Seattle.
Our Director of Development for the Transforming Age Foundation will be key in keeping our beautiful company and communities thriving by being responsible for:
Develop, budget and manage annual capital fund raising campaigns and special events for assigned communities.
Cultivate a large sustainable base of annual donors by reaching out and securing financial support from various individuals, foundations, and corporations
Manage program operation budgets, financial statements, performance benchmarks, operating schedules and cost-per-dollar raised
Develop, reviewing and track proposals for foundation funding
Oversee all special events related to the foundation
Organize annual appeal email letter and direct mailing
Manage all records of foundation gifts, donations, and expenses
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Development or a related field
Five years of progressively responsible, non-profit Foundation or fundraising experience
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Familiarity with donor software and MS Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel
Understanding of estate planning, probate, trusts, tax planning for gifts
Proven leadership abilities, including management and personnel interactions
Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed
Self-motivated, innovative, works independently, multi-tasks, with ability to prioritize work
Be flexible where there are high expectations for meeting tight deadlines
