A large Southern California nonprofit is seeking a regionally based, experienced Grant Writer to help identify and write federal, state, and/or local grant applications on a contract basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
Write and prepare compelling grants and related reports, ensuring that requirements are fully satisfied and all deadlines are met
Generate revenue for programs and projects through timely submission of well-researched, well-written and well-documented grant proposals
May assist in sourcing for relevant grant opportunities
Collaborate with Development Team to ensure organization and our mission are represented effectively
Minimum five years grant writing experience that demonstrates a proven track record of writing successful proposals in a variety of nonprofit fields and timely submission of well-researched, well-written grant proposals.
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Ability to quickly and efficiently develop content and meet tight deadlines
Previous federal, state and/or local grant writing experience
A proven track record of securing funding from federal, state, and/or local funders
Excellent time management skills with attention to detail
Preferred experience in one of more of the following fields: workforce development, youth development, vulnerable populations, veteran services, adult services, homeless services, and/or substance abuse
Bachelor's degree minimum
Telecommuting is allowed.
