DONOR RELATIONS STAFF WRITER (6-month contract position, hourly salary, no BU benefits)
The Office of Stewardship & Donor Relations seeks a writer to temporarily join our team to write and edit customized stewardship communications and other deliverables for principal and major gift donors. Duties will include reviewing and proofing letters of gratitude, compiling donor mailing folders, and other project-related administrative tasks.
Candidates will have excellent writing and proofreading skills and strong attention to detail. Candidates will be able to work quickly and accurately in order to manage a high volume of work with tight deadlines, handle confidential information with discretion, and work independently in addition to collaborating with members of the team.
Seeking a candidate to work a minimum of 25 hours per week and a flexible schedule is possible.
2-5 years of experience
Excellent English editing skills and high-level administrative support
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); experience with InDesign and ability to edit documents and images
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and compiling PDFs
Demonstrated excellence with writing skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with colleagues
Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Knowledge of Blackbaud or another donor database is helpful
