Responsible for planning and execution of all annual giving efforts, grateful patient and family referral program, employee giving campaign, the philanthropy newsletter and web presence, and all direct mail and e-solicitation appeals. Provides guidance on direct mail trends and annual giving best practices. Ensures that all annual giving activities are relevant and on-strategy. Monitors appeal results and provides analysis to evaluate campaign success. Creates annual campaign plans and recommends strategies for testing and improvement. Implements and executes fundraising events for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Manages a portfolio of annual giving donors, conducting donor visits and calls to strengthen donor relationships.
3-5 years’ experience in annual campaigns or related philanthropy work required.
Prior direct mail experience, including creative development and production, data pulls and list management required.
Experience with Salesforce or other database management system; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint - preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge of direct mail and fundraising principles and best practices.
Strong writing, editing and design sense a plus.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with staff and volunteers.
Capable of working both independently and as a team member; self-starter.
This position may be based in either Sacramento or Fairfield, CA. If based in Sacramento, travel to Fairfield will be required, up to 2 days per week.
