The Louisiana Bucket Brigade is looking for someone halftime (50% FTE, plus health care) to play an important role in all fundraising activities including donor and prospect relations, direct mail appeals, e-mail fundraising, assistance with preparing grant applications, leading the organization’s fundraising committee and special events. The position includes communications, including writing a twice weekly newsletter, marketing our Down by the River bike ride and some social media work as relates to fundraising. We are a small but mighty effort and the scope includes a range of responsibilities from high-level strategy to basic scheduling correspondence.
Specific experience in a not-for-profit development office required, as are excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision and excellent interpersonal skills. We use the Network for Good platform for donor management, so experience with this or willingness to learn is necessary. The ideal candidate cares deeply about human health and the environment as a civil and human right and is savvy about development.
