Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a highly motivated Foundation Giving Officer to join the Corporate and Foundation Giving division of the Conquer Cancer Foundation. The selected candidate will engage in prospect research and manage a portfolio of private foundations and public charities to raise philanthropic support for the programs and priorities of Conquer Cancer and provide general support for the Foundation Giving team.

What you will do:
Manage a portfolio of foundation supporters with measurable outcomes for activities
Research prospective foundation and corporate supporters, and initiate contacts with potential foundation supporters through phone, email, and face-to-face visits
Prepare and submit proposals, letters of inquiry, and other forms of request to secure financial commitments to achieve goals, as well as grant reports
Develop and implement strategies to further engage current foundation supporters and attract new supporters
Implement stewardship to creatively recognize supporters in ways that enhance relationships
Maintain accurate and timely records/contact reports of interactions with foundation supporters in the fundraising database
Foster collaboration with other Conquer Cancer and ASCO divisions toward achieving foundation revenue goals
Provide general support for Foundation Giving, to include but not be limited to reviewing supporter listings, tracking RSVPs for events, preparing supporter profiles, etc.
What you will need in order to be successful:
Minimum five years of development experience with a proven fundraising track record desired
Experience in grant proposal writing, prospect research, and working directly with donors
Familiarity and comfort working with a donor/CRM database and prospect research software
Superior communication skills; including oral, written, and listening
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
Self-directed and results-focused with the ability to manage own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals
Ability to travel approximately 5-10 days per year
Ideal candidates will also have:
Experience raising funds for a health or scientific organization
