The role of Program Center Manager (PCM) is an early career opportunity centered on leading the calling center component of an annual giving or enrollment effort at a college or university. Program Center Managers manage a staff of students who are employed to make telephone calls to alumni, parents and friends of the University.
The Program Center Manager is responsible for creating strategies for client success by using past performance and current trends to set and achieve goals, being innovative in staffing and motivation, and collaborating with Ruffalo Noel Levitz teams to drive and support performance.
Program Center Managers may permanently relocate to a host institution or travel to various institutions (travel can be a large component of this position for certain opportunities). Both opportunities - relocation or travel - are consistently available for candidates to consider.
The Program Center Manager opportunity is a full-time, salaried position with benefits that requires a responsible, driven and capable professional to work in an environment with considerable autonomy.
Maintain positive relationships with clients, subordinates and senior management while positively representing Ruffalo Noel Levitz.
Manage a part-time Calling Center staff. Including responsibility to recruit, interview and train student fundraisers and supervisors. Motivation & retention of student staff is a key responsibility of the role.
Set, meet and exceed performance, budgetary and staffing goals including tracking and impacting performance progress and statistical trending
Engage in on-going professional development, utilizing internal resources as well as industry leaders to grow knowledge and management acumen (Ruffalo Noel Levitz offers tuition assistance in addition to on-demand internal professional development opportunities).
Use moderate math to perform daily, weekly and long-term statistical analysis
Oversee and execute the needed Human Resources elements at a specific calling center including entering and submitting Payroll, paperwork and disciplinary action. Support is offered by Ruffalo Noel Levitz corporate Human Resources team.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licenses/Certifications and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or greater
Strong supervisory ability, organizational and communication skills
Basic comfort with mathematics
Must be multi-task oriented
Demonstrated ability to analyze statistics
Experience working in higher education fundraising or enrollment (Calling Center and/or Annual Fund experience); 1-5 years of experience in a fundraising environment preferred.
Dedication and flexibility to maintain a weekly work schedule of Sunday – Thursday, 12:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Willingness and ability to travel as needed for training, professional development
Valid Driver’s License; some locations/positions may require temporary or continual travel. In instances where driving is not a requirement, leniency may be granted to those without a driver’s license (example, yearlong programs or locations where there is ample, accessible public transportation)
Infrequent light physical effort required
Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level is moderate
