The Medical and Health Sciences Foundation (MHSF) was officially created in 2003 as the fundraising entity responsible for the joint philanthropic ventures of UPMC and University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences. The MHSF acts as the central source for patients, alumni, and friends to contribute to any clinical or research endeavor at either or both UPMC and Pitt.
This position will directly oversee the staff of the Magee Women’s Research Institute and Foundation, (MWRIF). The incumbent will develop and execute a comprehensive development plan to achieve new and recurring contributions to the MWRIF from grateful patients and friends involving productive participation by faculty and the Magee Board. The incumbent will report jointly to the Chairman/President of the MWRIF Board and the President of MHSF In addition, the Executive Director of Development will carry a portfolio of major gift prospects and work to cultivate, solicit, and steward as appropriate.
