Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Assistant Director of Engagement will work in collaboration with and provide support for all engagement efforts working with volunteer structures and executing signature events.
This position requires strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize as well as multi-task. Engagement provides a strategic ecosystem of support for fundraising objectives, therefore it is imperative that the person in this role be dedicated to working collectively with Directors of Philanthropy and the Stephens community to ensure effective collaboration. The Advancement Associate, Engagement will:
Execute projects which may include any or all of the following components; volunteer recruitment and management, events, alumnae association board meetings support, annual fund sequencing and deadline management.
Coordinate logistics for College special events, including communicating with alumnae association board members and volunteers, working with outside vendors, tracking and reporting all event data (ticket sales, attendance, sponsorships, income & expense budget), coordinating mailings and creating event materials (save the dates, invitations, printed programs, digital signage and giveaways). Recruit and staff volunteers.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience in project management, public relations, volunteer relations.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Excellent social skills, with large groups as well as with individuals, are required.
Proven skills and ability to manage multi-phase projects from inception to completion, including the ability to balance multiple concurrent priorities. Ability to set and manage deadlines.
Must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Being detail oriented, well organized, focused and goal-oriented, with a high level of initiative and energy, is essential.
Must be adept at problem solving and using judgment in situations requiring independent initiative and tact.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media and familiarity with database and web based systems to track communication.
