Phillips University Legacy Foundation (PULF) provides scholarships and leadership training to undergraduate students who attend colleges and universities affiliated or historically affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
PULF is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Development. The Director of Development will be responsible for overseeing the Foundation’s fundraising and resource development efforts that support its mission. This position will manage the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities that provide financial support of PULF.
The primary duties of this position are to work with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to set goals, budgets, and fundraising plans, and manage the delivery of fundraising activity accordingly. The Development Director will be expected to build relationships with community partners, foundations, businesses, church congregations, and individual donors. This position reports to the Executive Director and will work closely with the Board of Directors, Development Committee, and Gift Acceptance Committee.
The Director of Development should be approachable and personable and be able to effectively communicate information with individuals and in large groups. The candidate should possess skills in any or all of the following areas: annual campaigns, major gifts solicitation, planned giving, marketing, communications, public relations, and grant-writing. Candidates should know, or be able to learn, prospect and donor software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Publisher and Excel.
This position requires travel by car, plane, train or other means throughout the United States. Occasional weekend travel will be expected. Bachelor’s degree is required, with at least two years of related successful experience in non-profit fundraising.
The PULF office is located in Enid, Oklahoma and it is preferred that the person be able to work from this location. Candidates unable to re-locate and/or prefer to work from a remote location will be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience.
