Responsible for overseeing resource development, public relations, and marketing for ETSS. Director of Development is a part of the management team, reports directly to the President and CEO and also manages the development and communication outreach to staff and interns/volunteers.
Oversee grant seeking for local and federal government, corporate and foundations funding including research, proposal writing, and reporting.
Develop and implement short and long-term plan to meet the established fundraising strategy and goals.
Create and implement donor engagement plans, such as the annual fund campaign (Board of Directors, staff, volunteer campaign and direct mail appeal), and capital campaign. Directs major fundraising drives, such as signature event, donor recognition event, annual meeting & on-site events.
Supervise the development and communication outreach staff, as well as volunteers and interns.
Work with the Board of Directors, including the Development Committee in fundraising related projects.
Serve as a representative of ETSS, make public appearance and serve as spokesperson at various community and networking events.
Identify and cultivate key relationships with prospective donors for diversified funding base to include individual, corporate, and foundation leaders.
Oversee management of gift processing, donor acknowledgement and donor database.
Manage organizational marketing, messaging, story-telling, communication materials, and social media to increase ETSS awareness and visibility.
Maintain ETSS website with listings for current programs, events, mobile friendly donation website and other information.
Manage the expense budgets for fundraising, public relations, and communication efforts.
Plan and coordinate fundraising and special events.
Direct recruitment, coordination, and training of ETSS volunteers.
Build high level relationship with employers to support ETSS’ employability services.
Coordinate with community partners to develop projects in health, youth programs, and education.
Oversee cultural competency training. Interpretation services and other social enterprise projects
Other duties as necessary to support ETSS’ mission and programs.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in professional fundraising and successfully managing development staff. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment with a wide range of constituents.
