The Senior Development Officer of Board Relations will report directly to the Senior Director of Board Relations. The primary responsibility is to provide staff support to the Trustee Advisory Board, the Board of Overseers, board leadership and board committees.
Provides support to Chair and Vice Chairs of the Trustee Advisory Board (TAB) and the Chair and Vice Chairs of the Board of Overseers. Organizes meetings such as the quarterly TAB meetings and Overseers Executive Council meetings.
Responsible for supporting and briefing Chair and all presenters, follow up, and communication to the Trustee Advisory Board.
Supports Chair of the Board of Overseers and the Overseer Vice Chairs to produce Overseer meetings and Overseers Executive Council meetings. Responsibilities include helping to conceptualize ideas for discussion that will generate interest among our Board of Overseers, producing briefings and remarks, and working with other areas in Development to produce a flawless program.
Helps assign targeted annual giving ask amounts for each board member to ensure that the board is stretching philanthropically each year. Coordinate Board Annual Fund effort, which includes solicitations via mail, email, and phone.
Supports the efforts of Board committees and certain campaign and advisory committees, as needed
Tracks volunteer leadership efforts, identifies leadership opportunities, executes engagement efforts, recruitment and onboarding. Supports the distribution and volunteer engagement of annual surveys and other key activities that require volunteer coordintaeion and direction.
Stewards portfolio of board members with periodic check-ins. Reviews and enhances functioning of volunteer boards and committees to maximize engagement and alignment with philanthropic agenda.
Bachelor's degree required.
3-5 years related work experience required in Development..
Solid volunteer management experience and demonstrated ability to engage and successfully utilize volunteers in achieving fund raising goals is required.
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
5+ years' experience in Development including experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Demonstrated success in personally cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding annual fund gifts is preferred.
Knowledge of Raiser's Edge a plus.
