Join our expanding South Florida organization & philanthropy program. Inspire philanthropy while building extraordinary donor relationships in support of excellence, innovation, and global leadership in healthcare. Play a vital role as we continue to grow our network of hospitals in new markets while continuing to offer our community access to specialty centers and outpatient facilities that are known for their unmatched patient care, advanced clinical research and state-of-the-art technology.
The CEO is responsible for leading and inspiring the operational and strategic direction of the Baptist Health South Florida Foundation including philanthropic activities among the centers of excellence and hospital-based Foundation councils and over 100 volunteer board members.
The CEO implements policies determined by the system-wide Foundation Board of Directors and its Executive Committee. This oversight ensures that the Foundation remains fiscally sound and positioned to generate funds in support of Baptist Health’s charitable mission and vision to be “the preeminent healthcare provider in the communities we serve.”
Philanthropy has a particularly important role in supporting research and clinical care at Baptist Health’s hospitals and centers of excellence. Over the last half decade, annual philanthropy has doubled from $15 million to $30 million with a F2019 budget of $40 million. With the advent of the state-of-the art Miami Cancer Institute, which is about to celebrate its second anniversary, continued growth of the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute and Miami Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute and expansion of clinical services into Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach counties, the future of the Foundation is bright and its ambitions grand.
Nationally, preeminent centers of excellence consistently raise in excess of $100 million annually through philanthropy. That level of philanthropic support is essential to achieve preeminent status. That is our near-term (next few years) ambition with even greater expectations for the longer-term.
A commitment to philanthropy is shared by the Baptist Health governing board, Foundation board members, senior management, clinicians, staff and other supporters.
The Foundation CEO will conduct the orchestra, whose performance will achieve these lofty goals. Beneficiaries will be the residents and visitors to South Florida, who come in contact with our dedicated, compassionate, talented clinicians and staff, in modern facilities, aided by the latest technology and providing evidence-based care to all.
