The Director, Event and Donor Relations is responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating a system-wide comprehensive donor relations and system events program that consistently promotes interaction with, and recognition of, donors, volunteers, community members and HRHCare leadership and assists in overseeing stewardship event fundraising activities. Administratively reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Plans, implements and coordinates the system-wide events program, including but not limited to, community engagement, systemwide celebrations, fundraising events and volunteer programs
Create and manage event budgets for all events ensuring fundraising events meet targeted cost-to-raise a dollar and cultivation/ stewardship/. community events stay within budget
Create sponsorships for fundraising events to ensure successful event return
Manage a portfolio of perspective event sponsors/ donors identifying appropriate funding strategy for each
Plans, implements and coordinates the executive leadership meetings, retreats, symposiums as required by the Executive Office
Collaborates with CEO and Vice President of Philanthropy to develop and review strategies for engaging top donors in events
Supervises donor recognition activities including endowed position installations, building naming dedications and strategic donor events
Supervises system event staff activities to structure a comprehensive, efficient and effective team of event professionals
Establishes and managed information tracking processes regarding acknowledgment, recognition, on-going communications and upcoming donor engagements and events
Collaborate with development staff in donor receipting and acknowledgment, stewardship opportunities including event invitations, developing appropriate invitation lists, engaging featured program participants and program creation
Plans and executes stewardship plan for donors and prospects
Develops an annual stewardship calendar for outreach to groups and individuals
Tracks and analyzes stewardship impact and makes recommendations for enhancing impact of outreach efforts
Directs changes in event work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external vendors to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, budgets, etc.
Interacts with key HRHCare Leadership to build donor relationships through events
Collaborates with Communications to be certain that leadership and donors are appropriately recognized at events. This could include talking points, seating arrangements, assigning staff t key donors. leadership during institutional events and appropriate follow-up

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with equivalent fundraising knowledge
Minimum of five years effective experience required
