The Falcon Club Coordinator will have the following primary responsibilities for the Department of Athletics fundraising initiatives:
Secure annual gifts (annual gifts are considered gifts under $25,000) to the Falcon Club Scholarship and Success Fund including Champions Circle gifts of ($10,000+).
Plan and coordinate Falcon Club renewal solicitations via direct mail and e-appeals in coordination with the Office of Annual Giving.
Coordinate prospect contact strategies and share call information with unit fundraisers through personal communication and electronic contact reports.
Coordinate logistics of Falcon Club hospitality areas.
Travel to attend events and cultivate prospects.
Steward Falcon Club donors through mass communication, student thank-a-thons, and other recognition mechanisms.
Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for Falcon Club prospects with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of annual donors and dollars raised. Advance relationships with prospective donors and current donors through appropriate stages of qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Create and implement plans to increase upgraded giving level opportunities with a focus on leadership level donors ($1,000 - $25,000). Work closely with fundraisers to provide leads for Major Gifts.
Coordinate Falcon Club solicitation renewal calendar via direct mail, web/email, personal visits, and phone-a-thon in close coordination with the Athletics Development staff and with and approval from the Director of Annual Giving.
Plan and coordinate stewardship for Falcon Club donors with the assistance of student interns recruited and managed by the Coordinator. This includes hospitality areas, events, thank-a-thons, direct mail, email and individual recognition
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Supervisors will work in close collaboration with the Vice President of University Advancement and the Director of Athletics to ensure collaboration between units.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Demonstrated success in solicitations or sales.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Sports Admin, Business, Communications or related field. Successful candidates must have bachelor’s degree conferred at the time of application. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with the university’s vehicle use policy.
Also the following experience is required:
Minimum of one year experience working in fundraising, in intercollegiate athletics, or related fields.
Preferred background in higher education fundraising, including solicitation of gifts, execution of annual giving strategies and event planning.
Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level 354. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.
