Artis—Naples seeks an enthusiastic professional to play a significant role on our development team. The successful candidate will provide presentations, scheduling, meetings and administrative support for the campaign leadership team. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, have a strong patron service orientation and respond proactively to changing priorities. Must be collaborative, high energy and results oriented.
Prospect Research and Campaign Database Coordination • Research and identify individual, foundation and corporate donor prospects • Research donor information and giving history through Tessitura and DonorScape • Work with campaign leadership team to analyze donor giving patterns to complete campaign prospect profiles • Ensure all information is entered timely and accurately into Tessitura database • Prepare reports tracking campaign proposals, commitments and progress
Campaign/Event Coordination • Schedule meetings, prepare talking points, and assemble presentations for CEO and President, Board members and staff • Maintain master campaign calendar to maximize cultivation events and track progress • Monitor progress on campaign solicitation assignments • Assist with planning all aspects of campaign prospect/donor events
Campaign Communications • Write campaign correspondence including solicitation proposals, meeting requests, email updates and meeting follow up • Prepare pledge agreements and payment reminders in coordination with campaign leadership team • Follow up as directed by the campaign leadership team on pledge commitments, reminders and past due pledges • Ensure that gifts are acknowledged with appropriate recognition and appreciation • Proofread all donor lists, including monthly Program Book listings, to ensure that all campaign gifts are correctly recognized
Education/Experience • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college • Minimum of two years’ experience supporting Fundraising/Development for non-profit organization(s); capital campaign/major gifts experience preferred • One year or more experience and high degree of proficiency in donor prospect research including use of donor analytics tools such as DonorScape and a development database, preferably Tessitura • Experience with Microsoft Office products • Knowledge of and/or interest in music and the visual and performing arts preferred • Experience in an arts organization strongly preferred
