Campbell & Company, a national consulting firm that serves nonprofit organizations, seeks a Senior Consultant to join our West region team. This position will serve clients on the West Coast, primarily in Southern California. The Senior Consultant will help Campbell & Company to extend its role as a national consulting firm by providing strategic counsel in all areas of fundraising and advancement to clients in the firm’s core markets. This opportunity requires residence in Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, or San Diego County.

Collectively, Campbell & Company consists of 70 staff members, including six in California.
Primary responsibilities include implementing capital campaigns and ongoing development programs; board development, executive coaching, and development staff training; effective use of data in goal setting, planning, and implementation of effective development programs; institutional and campaign messaging and communications; and fundraising program and campaign assessments. The work of the Senior Consultant involves critical engagement in four core areas: client service, business development, firm leadership, and professional skills and services. This position will report to the Executive Vice President in the Seattle office.

Successful candidates will have ten or more years of progressive fundraising experience or a mix of consulting and direct fundraising experience – preferably within the healthcare and/or arts and culture sector. S/he will bring demonstrated success in individual and corporate major gift solicitation, particularly in a campaign environment. The successful candidate will also possess a strong achievement orientation, an ability to be effective both independently and leading a team, a collaborative spirit, exceptional critical thinking skills, and professional presence. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
