ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Prepare annual marketing plan in coordination with CEO and board marketing committee. 2. Maintain and regularly update the web site and social media. 3. Prepare and place advertising (print and web) in support of agency and program marketing and fund raising goals. 4. Develop an annual communications plan; coordinate the development and distribution of the agency newsletter and annual report. 5. Develop and adhere to a production calendar for all materials in the annual giving campaign including web, mailed publication and mailed appeals. 6. Direct the special event activities of the agency: serve staff function for event committees; coordinate event planning and post-event evaluations. 7. Develop and maintain social media platforms and giving channels. 8. Maintain tracking systems for earned paid and social media. 9. Direct and coordinate program-specific marketing efforts with program directors 10. Develop and produce agency and program specific promotional materials. 11. Coordinate marketing, communication, and presentations with partner organizations to further CCSWO mission. 12. Prepare and distribute press releases as appropriate. 13. Prepare and present status reports to the administrative team and the CCSWO Board Marketing Committee. 14. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with news media. 15. Assist in the Annual Catholic Ministries Appeal and the United Way campaigns. 16. Coordinate the agency’s crisis communications as needed in support of CCSWO programs, CEO, and the CCSWO board. 17. Attend and report at board marketing and event committees. 18. Assume special community or agency assignments as directed by the CEO to forward the mission of Catholic Charities. 19. Perform other job related duties and activities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent must: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. 2. Five years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, fund development or related professional field. Supervisory experience preferred. 3. Knowledge of donor record keeping, web management and social media preferred. 4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 5. Knowledge of non-profit organizations.
