Director of Development, Delta Chi Educational Foundation – Our international fraternity foundation is seeking an individual with both the learned skill set and their own developed abilities to help design and implement marketing and fundraising strategies for our organization.
The Foundation is seeking an energetic self-starter for this position who can communicate the goals of the Delta Chi Educational Foundation (“DCEF” or “Foundation”) to prospects within the brotherhood, corporate partners and other friends of the fraternity through face-to-face personal visits and planned social events. One of many areas of focus for this position will be the growth of donor support for our Trustee Society through personal solicitation of recurring annual gifts ($1,000+) and/ or other major gifts in order to grow the ranks of this annual giving program. The hired individual will also be able to apply their signature efforts to a variety of other programs and initiatives.
Applicants must be comfortable soliciting financial gifts and commitments from all forms of potential donors. Significant nationwide travel will be required in order to meet goals. This travel will typically come in the form of attendance and/or presentations at Regional Leadership Conferences, -prescheduled alumni events, the fraternity national convention and various educational conferences. A Bachelor-level degree or higher is required, with a demonstrable educational background focused on the areas of non-profit organizations, marketing and fundraising.
While membership in a social greek-lettered fraternity is not a requirement, work experience with demonstrable success in fundraising for other similar not-for-profit organizations is required. Strong organizational, written and verbal communications skills will be essential. Position will function as part of a “virtual” work environment, so personal accountability and time management will be of the highest priority in regards to desired skill sets.
Additional Salary Information: Based upon applicable experience, salary will be in the range of $50-70K. Competitive benefits package, bonus structure and ongoing professional development will be offered.
The Delta Chi Educational Foundation was incorporated in 1954 as a 501(c)(3), a non-profit educational foundation that can accept tax deductible donations for the benefit of young men in the fraternity.
