Responsible for the oversight, maintenance, and analysis of the donor and development functions within the fund development database in order to strengthen constituent relationships and increase philanthropy to support Girl Scout’s mission. Play a leading role in providing guidance around data best practices and implementation in both current database systems and in future database conversions.
Develops a strong working knowledge of functionality within the Girl Scout’s donor database, including the ability to develop queries and outputs, run reports, and perform data audit functions.
Develops in-depth knowledge of Girl Scout’s business rules and the organization’s use of fields within the donor database.
Inputs gifts and pledges and creates corresponding and timely acknowledgement letters from CEO, Vice Presidents and Development managers.
Troubleshoots issues, provide recommendations, and implement solutions in the areas of data integrity standards, data quality and overall Raiser’s Edge system usage.
Selects the base audience for multiple direct mail and stewardship appeals. Optimizes the segmentation criteria whenever possible and use database marketing to improve the results. Supports philanthropic efforts through database marketing and analyzes results.
Responsible for integrity of constituent information residing on the database. Leads efforts to maintain and improve hygiene on the database. Establishes and enforces standards for consistent data entry. Serves as expert to Girl Scouts with regard to proper data input.
Designs and develops meaningful reports to be run at timely intervals and distributed to fundraising staff in order to foster a culture that values data and its use to strengthen constituent relationships and improve philanthropic giving.
Works with Raiser’s Edge database vendor on any changes and enhancements. Works with fund development team to more easily identify high level prospects. Creates and implements data management processes that allow for more efficient gift processing and increased donor stewardship.
Supports special events, including monthly major donor briefings and two large-scale fundraising events annually.
Updates donor records as appropriate. Proactively seeks out opportunities to enrich the data, including relationships, constituent notes, etc.
Supports department as-needed in administrative fund development tasks

Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge; Salesforce a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Must possess technical database experience
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and handle multiple projects and tasks with minimal supervision
Comfortable in a fast-paced and positive environment
