In collaboration with the Vice Presidents of Philanthropy and Foundation staff the Development Specialist provides technical support, executes all special event detail planning, and handles all data entry functions. The Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely gift entry in a manner consistent with organizational standards. The Specialist also provides technical support for database maintenance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data, and supports staff in the provision of specialized report writing from the database. The Specialist also provides all aspects of administrative office support as needed.
Experience in event coordination, a hospital or fund development office setting is preferred.
Three years of progressively responsible experience in an administrative support role required.
Database management experience required.
Associates Degree required.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft office applications required.
Training in Blackbaud’s CRM or Raisers Edge donor tracking software preferred.
Experience in a hospital or fund development office setting preferred.
Proficiency in navigating Blackbaud's CRM software is desirable.
College course work in business, accounting, or computer science desirable.
Familiarity with database research products such as Researchpoint and Wealthpoint screenings, and data hygiene utilities to ensure optimal data integrity highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent critical thinker who can work independently to solve problems.
Can work well in an environment of multiple project priorities to achieve desired outcomes.
