Compensation/Benefits: Negotiable Salary plus benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Work closely with the E.D. and Fundraising Committee to develop and implement an integrated system for donor retention, acquisition, and cultivation.
Plan and execute all development activities designed to raise funds, recognize donors and cultivate relationships with all donors and prospects including individuals, corporations, foundations, and governmental sources.
Solicit and cultivate sponsor support for Center programs and events in partnership with the Fundraising Committee, Board of Trustees and the Executive Director.
Manage grant processes. Research opportunities, write proposals, and facilitate all required compliances.
Initiate, support and facilitate special fundraising events.
Along with the E.D., coordinate major gift stewardship and planned giving solicitations to build endowment fund and/or satisfy other funding needs.
Plan, write, and produce all printed and online development materials in collaboration with Marketing Coordinator.
Supervise and ensure the accuracy of all development procedures relating to recordkeeping, progress reports, donor contacts, pledge reminders and gift acknowledgments in coordination with support staff.
Maximize usage of fundraising software.
Coordinate and contribute to the publication of newsletters and an annual report.

Qualifications: Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in fund development, business, or related field. A minimum of 3 years full-time professional work experience in fundraising is required. Other requirements include knowledge of fundraising software, proven grant writing skills and an appreciation for the arts.
