Raising substantial gift support from corporations aligning with hospital plans, priorities and funding needs.
Identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding corporate donors.
Working closely with senior administration, board members, donors, clinicians and other hospital staff, and serving as a liaison to corporations with potential to provide major support for the Hospital’s priority areas that align with corporate interests.
Working closely with the Director of Corporate Relations and hospital divisions to develop proposals and cultivate/steward corporate donors. Coordinating with other members of the Corporate Development & Marketing Team, including cause marketing and sponsorship, to coordinate efforts and maximize support.
The knowledge and skills typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of progressive experience in business administration, marketing, nonprofit management, fundraising or equivalent experience.
The positioning, writing, and analytical skills to present complex scientific, clinical, research and medical issues that require philanthropic support for the many and various departments/divisions in Children’s Hospital Boston.
Strong strategy development leadership skills and execution abilities to persuade and negotiate with peer’s department heads, external organizations and individual prospects around cases for support, gift agreements and relationships with the Trust and the Hospital.
Strong presentation and communications skills.
Strong technical skills in generic software programs (Excel, Microsoft) and information systems and the ability to develop proficiency in specific data base management systems.
