The Cerritos College Foundation is an independent 501 3(c) that serves and carries out the major fundraising efforts of the Cerritos Community College District. The Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for the planning and implementation of programming to engage alumni in the strategic efforts of the College, as well as increasing annual fund support. This will also include cultivating current students to transition to active alumni through coordination with campus career services and mentoring programs. This position will also manage a portfolio of annual fund donors in support of annual and campaign fundraising goals. The Cerritos College Foundation is launching its first major gift campaign with a target of $10-12 million in private funding and the Director of Alumni Relations will work collaboratively in this effort.
Knowledge and experience of fundraising and development functions (higher education experience preferred).
A minimum of three years of experience in alumni relations and external affairs with demonstrated accomplishment in fostering productive relationships with volunteers and developing volunteer leadership.
The Cerritos College Foundation is an independent 501 3(c) that serves the Cerritos Community College District. The Foundation was incorporated as a vehicle for the community to assist with financial support of Cerritos College. The Foundation serves as a link between the College, the private sector, and community organizations to create public awareness of the needs of the College; to promote t...he College to business and industry within Southeastern Los Angeles County; and to raise funds for quality facilities and programs. The Foundation’s principal area of financial support to the College is for scholarships, improvements or upgrades to campus venues or facilities, and program support.
