This position is required to consistently meet or exceed personal performance goals, which are defined and signed upon annually. The role of the Relationship Manager is to provide support to the Executive Director in the execution of relationship building and fundraising. The duties include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing strategic recruitment and retention plans for new donor prospects, managing major gifts program, overseeing Planned Giving program, and working with the Board Development Committee.
Develop and execute an annual plan to research, cultivate, solicit and steward donations from individuals capable of making major and/or planned gifts as defined by the organization.
Manage the major gifts program by conducting donor research, identifying giving patterns, managing major donor relationships and in-person and written communications, and working with Executive Director to maintain records.
Oversee planned giving campaign by maintaining knowledge of planned giving options, developing and implementing marketing tactics, identifying and managing relationships with planned giving prospects, arranging and assisting in the ask, and planning and implementing planned giving donor recognition program.
Manage and maintain the donor database—creating new records, recording gifts, organizing queries and generating reports.
Oversees donor acknowledgment process and thank you letters.
Assist with the development of communication materials
Identify grant and sponsorship opportunities
Write grants, as needed
General office duties and other relevant duties as assigned
CISV USA seeks a fundraiser who has the following qualifications: documented success in annual giving, major gift and planned giving fund raising; experience in maximizing limited resources to achieve goals; has experience developing a work process for fund raising; works closely with a board of directors, volunteers and outside constituents; has managed a donor / membership database; is self-motivated and can complete a project within a specific timeframe; has a sense of humor; has some grant writing experience; a person with above average writing and oral communication skills as well as above average computer skills in Microsoft Office, social networking sites, and email.
The Donor Relationship Manager needs to be a person who can work independently, has the ability to travel occasionally, and can establish rapport with all constituents. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years of experience.
