Location: Position with be responsible for North Eastern US area, including NY/NJ, Washington DC, and others. Position requires that the candidate be able to travel conveniently to these locations.

Job Description: Develop and implement a strategic gift solicitation plan for generating Major Gifts from high-level prospects and donors. Make personal visits and written solicitations to existing donors, host introductory events, discover and develop new relationships and funding partnerships. Build and maintain a strong portfolio of new prospects and donors that generate high five, six and seven figure gifts, attending to the balance between discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Extensive travel within territory and some international travel.
Job Requirements: A hard driving, entrepreneurial self-starter with a heart for the poor, at least 7 years of successfully generating multi-million dollar Major Gifts and distinction managing an existing portfolio. Extensive experience with high-level strategic donor relationships is crucial. Significant technical proficiency, including experience with fundraising systems. Must be able to communicate to others, a deep, abiding passion for the mission of Opportunity Intl. and its commitment to economic, spiritual and social transformation.
