Helping Hand Foundation is embarking on new path for providing financial support for Helping Hand Center (HHC), a 60 year old agency based in west suburban Cook County, that provides services for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Reporting to the President/CEO, the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) will provide strategic leadership, direction and planning for the overall HHF fund raising effort. The CPO will develop a comprehensive plan including strategy, metrics, standards and financial goals in partnership with the President /CEO and members of the philanthropy committee of the board of directors.
Part of the major giving strategy will include growing HHF partners by increasing overall giving across all levels of philanthropy. The CPO will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of prospects and donors.
The CPO will be responsible for providing leadership and support to the Director of Community Giving and the Development Associate to coordinate efforts that result in maximizing financial support for Helping Hand. This leader will effectively leverage the existing donor base to grow support for the HHF endowment fund and grants for HHC.
Part of the major giving strategy will include growing HHF donor participation by increasing overall giving across all levels of philanthropy. The CPO will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of prospects and donors.
The Chief Philanthropy Officer will be a strategic yet hands-on executor, who will help HHF refine its major giving efforts. This leader will bring a genuine passion for assisting people with disabilities achieve their highest potential along with deep experience driving fundraising success.
The CPO will be a strategic and results oriented leader who executes the major gift plan and evaluates outcomes with a metrics based approach. This leader will set meaningful, significant and attainable goals for all areas of philanthropy. The CPO will be skilled at building and sustaining excellent relationships at multiple levels with varied constituencies.
The CPO will be a thoughtful and engaged leader who embraces the missions of HHF and HHC. This leader will have the character, dexterity and mindset to lead all major gift donor cultivation. The CPO will provide the leadership and inspiration to the entire philanthropy team to achieve the greatest possible impact for continued and future success.
