Cal Poly is seeking a Director of Development to join our dynamic College of Engineering Advancement Team.

The civil engineering program ranks No.3, while electrical engineering is tied for No. 4, and mechanical engineering places at No. 5.
The CENG Advancement team is responsible for all aspects of external relations for the College, including the implementation of fundraising programs designed to secure growing levels of private funding to support the mission and vision of CENG and the University. The team actively partners with the College's leadership, faculty and staff, and works closely with University Development’s central fundraising teams to achieve these goals. Important elements of the CENG Advancement effort include outreach and engagement with alumni, parents, friends, corporate partners, foundations, volunteers and community leaders.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Development for the College of Engineering, the Director of Development position is a front-line fundraiser responsible for helping to increase private support for the priorities of CENG and the University. The Director of Development will build and manage a major gift portfolio of prospects and will qualify, cultivate and personally solicit gifts of $25,000+. The CENG's current fundraising priorities include a new projects building and support for a variety of initiatives such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Advanced Manufacturing and Cybersecurity. This is a highly collaborative role that will work across campus with fundraisers in other colleges and units on university wide priorities.
