Executive Director, Foundation, is responsible for leading and implementing a fundraising program that will increase philanthropic support for the programs and services and capital projects of Ellis Medicine. Plan and direct the Foundation’s fundraising program within the bylaws and policies of the Foundation and health system, and under the guidance and direction of the Foundation board and health system’s senior leadership.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
Experience: 10 years of progressive experience required in development and nonprofit administration, with leadership responsibility and a track record of successful accomplishments in all phases of Foundation work, including annual funds, capital campaigns, foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, special events and planned giving, donor recognition, stewardship and strategic planning. In-depth knowledge of fundraising and regulatory requirements, a proven record of success of maintaining quality fundraising programs, and developing and implementing action plans to improve performance required, preferably in a healthcare setting. Proven experience individually soliciting and stewarding seven-figure gifts to reach annual targets of $3 to $5 million and launching and leading successful capital or comprehensive campaigns with a goal of $20 million or more required. The Executive Director is a member of the Ellis senior management team, supervises a professional team of eight and leads a board of 25 to 29 trustees.
