Over the past four decades, FFB expanded its influence by raising more than $650 million to fund thousands of research studies at prominent institutions worldwide. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planned Giving Coordinator (part time) to be part of our team. This position will be based in Columbia, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has retired from a planned giving environment, but wants to remain active in the workforce.
Specifically this position will:
Coordinate with Director, Planned Giving to generate and maintain planned gifts
Develop and maintain close relationships with donors/prospects
Responsible for the Charitable Gift Annuity program, including calculation, generation of agreement, and coordination with the Finance Department for set up and tax reporting
Provide receipt letters to CGA donors
Generate CGA 1099Rs for Finance
Provide bequest information on request and acknowledgements to those naming FFB in will
Send acknowledgement letters for bequest distribution
Assist Director, Planned Giving in working with attorneys/executors as needed on estates; periodically check on status of estates.
Conduct research on constituents and create weekly contact lists for Director, Planned Giving. Enter data received from these contact calls into the database.
Use donor database to generate potential planned giving prospects under the guidance of Director, Planned Giving.
Maintain a fiscal year bequest table and periodically coordinate with Chief Financial Officer on the status of completed and expected estates.
Maintain a Pending Estates report for Director, Planned Giving.
Generate Legacy Society member certificates; mail to Director, Planned Giving for signature and mail signed copy to members.

The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years experience
Must be fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Fully proficient of relational databases is required. Knowledge of Crescendo software desirable
Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be organized and detail oriented and able to meet deadlines by effectively prioritizing the workload of the department
High quality and accuracy is required. Ability to work independently as well as a team player
Must have excellent attendance and be accountable for quality of work
